Gwinnett County Police identify 2 men killed in Lawrenceville shooting

The Gwinnett County Police Department released Friday morning the names of two men who were shot and killed Thursday evening in Lawrenceville.

The two victims were identified as Chandler Smith-Millions, 22, and Jakarri Blackwell, 23, both of Lawrenceville.

Officers responded at about 7 p.m. to a person shot call at a home on the 1300 block of Baldridge Drive.

Officers found the two men dead in the front yard of the home. They found two additional males who were injured with gunshot wounds. The names of the two who were injured have not been released.

The two males who were injured were transported to a local hospital.

Investigators said a verbal altercation in the front yard may have led to an exchange of gunfire.

The case remains under investigation.
