Two Kubota Manufacturing companies in Northeast Georgia are set to merge and form a single company.
According to a press release from Kubota, plans are underway to merge Kubota Manufacturing of America Corporation and Kubota Industrial Equipment Corporation into a single company named the Kubota Manufacturing of America Corporation. The change will become effective Jan. 1, 2024.
“With Kubota’s North American sales accounting for over 40% of Kubota’s business worldwide, this merger will be an opportunity for us to optimize our business processes and structure our company for continued growth," Brian Arnold, president of KMA and KIE said. "Other than changing the name, the merger will be seamless for our employees, our business partners, and the community.”
Kubota announced in June the investment of $190 million for the construction of a new factory in Northeast Georgia which will continue as planned under the combined organization.
KMA and KIE, along with its sister companies Kubota Tractor Corporation and Kubota Research and Development North America employ more than 3,500 people in Georgia, with operations spanning more than 40 years.
