Four people were hospitalized late Friday afternoon after being involved in a two-vehicle collision in northern Hall County.
The Georgia State Patrol said Saturday that the accident occurred at the intersection of SR 365 (Cornelia Highway) and Athens Street in Lula just before 5 p.m.
Commerce resident Jacqueline Damons, 48, was driving west on Athens Street when she allegedly failed to yield to northbound traffic on SR 365.
"[Damons] failed to yield after stopping at a stop sign and proceeded to travel across the northbound lane of SR 365," the State Patrol said in an accident report.
Damons' vehicle was then struck in the driver's side door by an oncoming vehicle being driven by Gainesville resident April Seymour, 52.
Both vehicles came to a rest on SR 365 without leaving the roadway.
Damons, who was issued a citation for failure to yield, managed to avoid any injuries in the collision.
Seymour, however, was injured in the accident, along with three of her passengers. All four were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville for treatment of unknown injuries, although the State Patrol said none of the injuries were thought to be serious in nature.
