Banks County Sheriff's Department, EMS saves drug victim from overdose

By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

The quick response time by Banks County Sheriff's Office is credited with saving the life of an overdose victim from a domestic dispute call.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a domestic dispute call along Riverbend Lane on Friday, June 30th.

Upon arrival, deputies noticed an individual suffering from an apparent drug overdose, and called the county EMS to assist while administering life-saving NARCAN doses.

A county press release said the procedures saved the unidentified individual's life as EMT's further provided assistance and transportation to a nearby hospital.

No arrests have been reported and further details have not been released at this time
