By Christian Ashliman Anchor/Reporter

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday seized a large quantity of illegal drugs during a traffic stop on Ga. 15.

A deputy with the sheriff’s office observed a woman making multiple traffic violations and pulled her over. The deputy made contact with the woman, who was identified as Kerry Stratton of Leicester, North Carolina. The deputies “conducted a probable cause search” of the vehicle, which revealed approximately six kilos of cocaine and eight ounces of marijuana.

Stratton was reportedly arrested without incident and allegedly charged with following too closely, failure to maintain lane, trafficking cocaine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

The total value of the seized drugs is approximately $183,000, according to officials.

Stratton is currently being held in the Rabun County Detention Center without bond
