Lanier Technical College on Friday held its 57 Annual Commencement Ceremony, following a record-breaking academic year of enrollment.
332 graduates walked through the Hall Campus Quad to receive their certificate, diploma, or degree from Lanier Technical College President, Tim McDonald.
In a release, Lanier Tech President, Tim McDonald, shared his remarks about the commencement exercise and congratulated the students. He stated that they are “ready for the workforce and will apply their new knowledge and skills in meaningful ways that will increase the prosperity” of the local economy.
Computer programming graduate, Hillary Dodge, said in a press release that her time at Lanier Tech helped equip her with the mental stamina and degree to pursue her chosen career path. Dodge was able to obtain her first salaried position during her final semester.
Below are the record-breaking numbers acquired by the Lanier Technical College Class of 2023:
- Total number of graduates: 1196
- Total number of associate degrees: 370
- Total number of diplomas: 393
- Total number of certificates: 1,539
Lanier Technical College is a Unit of the Technical College System of Georgia, and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
