The Technical College System of Georgia announced that Tim McDonald will be stepping up as president of Lanier Technical College starting today.
McDonald served as Interim President since December 2020 but has been with the college for 37 years. He began as an instructor in the Machine Tool Technology program.
In that time, McDonald has also served as the Executive Vice President of Lanier Tech, Vice President for Economic Development and Dean of the college's Dawson campus.
McDonald earned an Advanced General Machinist Diploma from Lanier Tech, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Brenau University.
