It was an up-and-down day for Northeast Georgia-area baseball teams on Monday in the Georgia High School Association playoffs.
East Forsyth rallied from six runs down to beat Holy Innocents' to win its Class 4A series, 2-1, on the road. However, Cherokee Bluff dropped a heartbreaker, 6-5, to Lovett in 8 innings in Atlanta in Game 3 of their best-of-three Class 4A series. Flowery Branch was swept out by Centennial in Class 5A on the road as well.
Lakeview Academy was taken out in the opening round in the GIAA playoffs in a two-sweep at the hands of Dominion Christian.
