Two suspects in Northeast Georgia medicine thefts are arrested in separate locations

North Georgia investigators have arrested two people for recent area medicine thefts at two Publix Supermarkets.

A press release says Gwinnett County Police have arrested Jose Antonio Cruz with the help of the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office while Sandy Springs Police Department have arrested Tabitha Weaver on their charges.

Cruz and Weaver reportedly went to two Publix stores on Sugarloaf Parkway and Duluth Highway on March 26th, entered both stores and stole large amounts of allergy medication in concealed bins.

They allegeldly stole medication totaling over $5,000.

Cruz is being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond. Weaver is pending extradition from Fulton County to Gwinnett County.
