The Hospital Authority of Habersham County voted this week to release four Habersham Medical Center leadership positions, as it prepares to join Northeast Georgia Health System on July 1.
A release from Habersham County's Public Information Office says the last day of employment for CEO Tyler Williams, COO and Operations Vice President Angie Harpold, Vice President of Culture & Wellness Keisha Clinkscale and Director of Finance Susan McCrary will be Friday, April 28.
Dolly Ritchie, Chair of the Hospital Authority of Habersham County says it , "was a difficult decision for us to make, on a personal level, but it is the duty of our board to be the best stewards of HMC’s finances.”
In light of the Authority’s decision, Northeast Georgia Health System’s Vice President of Facilities & Support Services – Kevin Matson – has agreed to serve as Interim Administrator for HMC effective May 1.
He will have primary oversight of all day-to-day operations and will spend most of his time in Habersham County.
