By Sydney Hencil Anchor/Reporter
The Gwinnett County Police Robbery Unit needs help identifying a suspect in an armed robbery at a Food Mart in Norcross.

According to a press release from the agency, officers at the West Precinct responded at about 2 p.m. on February 13 to an armed robbery call at the store at 4782 Jimmy Carter Blvd. Officers met with the victim and viewed the security footage of the incident.

The victim stated he was on the phone standing near the cash register when the suspect walked into the store. The suspect was wearing a black hoody, dark ski mask, blue latex gloves, blue socks and dark-colored sandals.

According to officials, during the robbery, the suspect walked up to the victim, pulled out a silver and black handgun and allegedly demanded money.  Once the victim opened the register, the suspect put the gun away and started taking out money.  The victim then tackled the suspect who was able to get away and run out of the store with the money he had in his hand.
