By AccessWDUN Staff

ELLIJAY, Ga. — Dawson County's Trey Harvey was tough to hit, and the Tigers' bats did just enough to get out of Ellijay with a 5-1 over Gilmer win on Tuesday.

Harvey, in a complete-game performance, allowed one run on two hits while fanning 11 Bobcats.

He also helped his cause at the plate, driving in two runs in the third inning. Julian Horner led the Tigers at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two RBIs, including a solo homer in the second inning to get the Tigers (7-5, 3-1) on the board in the second inning.

Dawson County scored three runs in the fourth and one in the seventh. Gilmer's lone run came in the bottom of the fourth.

With the win, Dawson County is tied with Lumpkin County and Pickens atop the Region 7-3A standings. DRegion 7-3A has a three-horse race brewing in the clubhouse after Tuesday night's action.

NORTH FORSYTH 3,
LANIER 1

North Forsyth picked up a huge win over Region 8-6A leader Lanier on the road Tuesday.

The Raiders didn't take control of the game until the fourth inning when Austin McCabe scored the go-ahead run on a ground out, and Billy Mason doubled on a 3-0 count, driving in a run for a 3-1 advantage.

Andrew Elkhill, who gave up a run on a wild pitch in the third inning, pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out six. Kyle Roper pitched the rest of the way, allowing no runs, no hits and struck out one.

Holbrook was 2-for-2 to lead the Raiders at the plate. Mason Glennon and Jordan Cox recorded one hit apiece, and Logan Curry and Mason had a hit and an RBI each.

PICKENS 4,
WHITE COUNTY 3

White County's rally fell one run short in the loss to Pickens at home on Tuesday.

The Warriors gave up a run in the first inning on a Tyler Payne groundout. In the second, Pickens went up 2-0 on a Warriors error.

White County answered in the second on a passed ball strikeout. Ryan Fowler scampered home to get the run.

Pickens added two more runs in the fifth inning, as did White County on back-to-back singles from Nate Bray and Alex Freeman.

Over the next two innings, neither team crossed the plate. Freeman led the Warriors at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one RBI. Bray added a hit and an RBI, and Landon Roberts recorded one hit.

LUMPKIN COUNTY 5,
WEST HALL 1
