Jackson EMC Foundation awards $64,500 to agencies serving Hall County residents

The Jackson EMC Foundation board of directors awarded a total of $114,500 in grants for organizations during its recent meeting, including $64,500 to organizations serving Hall County. 

  • $15,000 to Peachtree Christian Health, Inc., Duluth.
  • $15,000 to St. Vincent de Paul Society – Flowery Branch.
  • $15,000 to St. Vincent de Paul Society – Gainesville.
  • $10,000 to CHRIS 180 (Creativity, Honor, Respect, Integrity and Safety) for its Gwinnett Counseling Center.
  • $7,500 to Joshua’s Voice, Inc., Buford.
  • $2,000 to Tiny Stiches, Inc., Suwanee.

Jackson EMC Foundation grants are made possible by the 213,228 participating cooperative members who have their monthly electric bills rounded to the next dollar amount through the Operation Round Up program.

Their “spare change” has funded 1,893 grants to organizations and 426 grants to individuals, putting more than $19.9 million back into local communities since the program began in 2005.
