Statistics are in from the Georgia Department of Public Safety's research with the fatality rate along the roads during the Christmas holiday weekend.
Georgia's DPS report says 14 people were killed along the state's roads over the holiday weekend.
Fatalities were reported in Atlanta, Colquitt, Hinesville, Dublin, Newnan, Albany, and other parts of the state.
That number is down from the Thanksgiving holiday when 23 people were killed.
Factors such as impairment, excessive speed, seatbelts, and more were involved in the report's research.
