Seven teams remain in the playoffs in the AccessWDUN coverage area, and all have a shot at moving to the third round.
Last week, Buford, Commerce, Gainesville, Jefferson, Lumpkin County, Rabun County and Union County punched their tickets to the Sweet 16 of the Georgia High School state playoffs.

Buford at Norcross – Buford continued its dominance last week in the first round of the Class 7A playoffs. This week will be a bit tougher on the Wolves. However, the way the Buford offense puts up points, Norcross could have a long night. This game has good game or blowout written all over it. Hiram at Jefferson – It took Jefferson most of the first half to gain the lead against Maynard Jackson last week. When they did, they roared to a 48-14 win in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs. It was the first time in two seasons that the Dragons made it past the first round. This week's game will be more of a test for the Dragons, and a slow start might not be as easy to come back from. Nevertheless, the Dragons have the firepower to get the job done. Blessed Trinity at Gainesville – Gainesville did start slow last week but ended up blowing out South Paulding. The Red Elephants will have a stiffer test this week from Blessed Trinity. If Big Red starts fast, this one could get ugly early. If they start slow again, a shootout at City Park is not out of the question.
