Football: Habersham Central punches ticket to playoffs with win over Shiloh

LITHONIA, Ga. – Habersham Central is back in the playoffs after a 35-16 win over Shiloh Friday night.

Zeke Whittington got things going with a 31-yard touchdown reception from DJ Pass on the opening drive to go up, 7-0. Shiloh answered with a field goal late in the first, but Whittington responded on the ensuing drive on a 12-yard run to stretch the lead to 14-3.

Antonio Cantrell pushed the lead out even further late in the half with a 3-yard rushing score. After a scoreless third quarter, Donnie Warren got the Raiders back on the board midway through the fourth quarter with a 54-yard run to take a 28-3 lead.

After Shiloh returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown, Warren capped off the night for Habersham Central with a 19-yard rushing score with 2:17 left. Shiloh scored late to get to the final score.

Pass finished with 106 yards through the air, while Warren led the rushing attach with 98 yards on the ground.

Habersham Central will now head to Douglas County next week to open the playoffs.
