LILBURN, Ga. – Union County attempted a massive comeback but fell short in a 55-35 loss to Providence Christian Friday night.
Trailing 41-14 at the half, Union County scored 21 straight points in the third quarter to cut the lead to 41-35, but that was as close as the Panthers would get as Providence Christian scored twice more to take the win.
Braylen Rader had a pair of touchdowns on 130 yards rushing while adding on 180 yards in returns. Tyler Grasty had a 99-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Caiden Tanner, who finished with over 300 yards passing on the night.
Union County will head to East Jackson next week.
