Football: Commerce shuts out Social Circle

COMMERCE, Ga. – Jaiden Daniels and Tysean Wiggins both rushed over 1,000 yards for the season Friday night as Commerce shut out Social Circle, 34-0.

The Tigers jumped out early as Daniels punched it in from three yards out for an early 6-0 lead. He got the next touchdown as well as he broke free for 85 yards and another score three minutes later. Commerce got back on the board on the first play of the second quarter on a Jacari Huff 1-yard score before Wiggins rumbled in from the three late in the half to take a 27-0 lead into halftime.

A quiet third quarter led to a Terrence Burch 12-yard touchdown midway through the fourth quarter, sealing the win for Commerce and improving them to 6-1 for the first time since 2020.

Daniels rushed for 161 yards on nine carries, while Wiggins went for 144 yards on 21 touches.

The Tigers open region play next week at home against Athens Christian.
