North Gwinnett High School senior Aditi Venkatesh was recently named as Gwinnett County’s STAR student.
The STAR student honor is awarded to a senior who is in the top 10 percent of his or her class with the highest SAT score.
As part of the recognition, Venkatesh was able to select a teacher who has had a strong influence on her academic career.
She selected her Social Studies teacher Katie Massey, as her STAR Teacher.
Venkatesh and Massey will now move on and compete for the regional title.
Regional winners will then move on to the state level for the honor of being named Georgia’s 2023 STAR Student and Teacher.
