State Democratic Committee reelects incumbent Congresswoman Nikema Williams

The State Democratic Committee reelected Congresswoman Nikema Williams on Saturday to serve as the party chair for another four-year term.
 
The State Committee delegation of the Forsyth County Georgia Democratic Committee participated in the Democratic Party of Georgia’s State Committee Meeting and Officer Elections at the IBEW Auditorium in Atlanta.
 
In addition to Williams’ reelection, incumbent Congressional District 6 chair Melissa Clink was also reelected by the Congressional District 6 State Committee to another four-year term.
 
Other incumbents that were reelected include: Secretary Justin Holsomback, Treasurer Jason Esteves and Vice Chair of Congressional District Chairs Sarah Todd.
 
New party leaders were also elected during the meeting. Matthew Wilson will serve as the 1st vice chair, Scout Smith will serve as the vice chair of candidate recruitment and Vincent Olsziewski will serve as the vice chair for constituency groups.
 
“We are incredibly excited about the prospects that the newly elected leadership brings,” Forsyth County Democrats Chair Kannan Udayarajan said in a press release. “A lot has been accomplished over the last four years and it's time now to build on top of this solid foundation. We are also proud of the fact that Forsyth County sent the most diverse State Committee delegation in Georgia which truly embodies the new Forsyth and Georgia.”
