The Hall County Sheriff's Office arrested a man from Commerce on Wednesday for the alleged sexual abuse of a child under the age of 10.
According to a press release from the agency, Robert Adam Pruett, 41, was arrested at the Hall County Sheriff's Office Lula Precinct. He was charged with rape, child molestation and sexual battery involving a juvenile victim.
Pruett is accused of sexually abusing the girl between April 1, 2014, and Dec. 31, 2018. The alleged crimes happened at the girl's residence in the Lula area. Pruett knew the girl prior to the abuse.
A counselor reported the crimes to deputies on April 22, 2022. This came after the victim disclosed the alleged abuse to the counselor. Investigators then obtained arrest warrants for Pruett on Dec. 30, 2022.
Pruett remained in the Hall County Jail without bond as of Friday morning.
