BOGART, Ga. — North Hall came into its Region 8-4A showdown on Thursday with No. 2-ranked North Oconee on riding a two-game win streak.
The Titans put a quick end to the Trojans run, scoring 28 first quarter points en route to a 70-7 rout at Titans Stadium.
The Trojans (2-4, 2-2 Region 8-4A) were held to a season-low 126 total yards by North Oconee (5-0, 3-0 Region 8-4A) who came in second in Class 4A in defense allowing just 6.5 points/game. North Hall had just 54 yards on the ground and 72 through the air.
North Oconee ltook the quick, early lead on the strength of three long touchdown runs, two by Max Wilson of 64 and 56 yards and a 61-yarder from Khalil Barnes. It was part of a 503-yard rushing effort by the Titans.
Wilson finished with 154 yards, Barnes added 117 yards, and Dominic Elder had 109 yards rushing for the game for North Oconee.
North Hall’s only score came on a 2-yard run from Tanner Marsh early in the second quarter.
North Oconee led 49-7 at halftime and shut out North Hall in the second half.
