Bellamy Dahlonega breaks ground on off-campus housing expansion

Students attending the University of North Georgia's Dahlonega campus will soon have more off-campus housing options with the expansion of Bellamy Dahlonega.

A press release said Mallory & Evans Development held a groundbreaking on Sept. 6 for the expansion, which is slated to open in Aug. 2023.

The project will add two buildings to the already existing off-campus student housing complex. It will add 44 units and 128 beds. The units will be comprised of two-, three- and four-bedroom units.

"The four-bedroom units will be loft-style," the release said. "All units will have bed-bath parity, walk-in closets, balconies, and will come fully furnished and include a washer and dryer. The project will add a separate fitness center and renovate the existing clubhouse."

“Due to market demand, we are pleased to enhance our offerings for highly sought-after collegiate apartment living. This expansion will increase accessibility as well as lifestyle amenities,” Johnny Dixon, President & Vice Chairman of Mallory & Evans Development said in a prepared statement.

Phase one of the development opened in the fall of 2015 with 108 units and 426 beds. It is located off Morrison Moore Parkway near UNG's Dahlonega Campus.
