By AccessWDUN Staff

CLERMONT, Ga. - A 23-0 start for Dawson County was enough to get the Tigers back on the winning track Friday night as they took down North Hall, 30-13.

The Trojans had four fumbles on a rainy night at The Brickyard that allowed Dawson County to get the early start. Kade Moledore scored early on with a 20-yard run that was followed up shortly by a Matt Bennett 38-yard scamper that pushed the score up to 13-0.

After another Tiger rushing touchdown and a Dom LeBlanc 23-yard field goal late in the first half, the Trojans scored on a 62-yard pass from Marsh to Puryear to cut the halftime lead to 23-7.

North Hall scored coming out of halftime on a Marsh to Sam Gailey 18-yard connection to trim the lead to 10, but Dawson answered with another Bennett touchdown run, this time from six yards away, to get to the 30-13 final.

Bennett finished with 115 yards rushing on 10 carries, while Elijah Smith added 115 yards on 20 carries with a touchdown. North Hall's Puryear had six catches for 108 yards.

The Tigers will play host to Stephens County next week, while North Hall will take on Walnut Grove at home.
