Softball: Buford sweeps, NHall splits, EHall rolls past Rabun

BUFORD — Buford swept a pair of games against Cambridge and Woodland on Saturday at the Buford Softball Complex.

The Lady Wolves pushed their unbeaten record to 6-0 with a 5-4 win over Cambridge and a 12-0 rout of Woodland in four innings.

In the opening game, Buford got a sacrifice fly from Caroline Stanton in the bottom of the seventh to beat Cambridge.

Buford led 4-0 after the third inning but the Lady Bears rallied to tie the game with three runs in the fourth and another in the sixth.

Olivia Duncan (3-0) went the distance in the circle allowing four runs on six hits and striking out eight.

In the second game, Buford blew open a close game with nine runs in the second and two more in the third.

Junior Emma Grace Williams got the win yielding just one hit and fanning  six.

Duncan and Stanton each belted home runs in the big second inning and Stanton later added a triple in the inning. The pair combined for five RBI.

Adriana Martinez had two hits for Buford.


EAST HALL ROUTS RABUN COUNTY

East Hall jumped on the Lady Wildcats for four runs in the first and three in second on the way to an 8-1 win on Saturday at home.

Amari Burce got the win for East Hall going 5 1/3 innings allowing one run on three hits while striking out eight.


NORTH HALL SPLITS WITH HAB CENTRAL, DUNWOODY

The Lady Trojans (4-5) opened the day with an 11-1 win over Habersham Central in 5 innings and closed out the afternoon with an 11-9 loss to Dunwoody.

Against Habersham Central, Genesis Satterfield paced North Hall with a pair of doubles and three RBI. Kristina Peach had two hits and KB Seabolt had a triple and three RBI as well. Olivia Mullins also had two hits and an RBI for the Lady Trojans.

Mullins got the win pitching five innings giving up five hits and striking out seven.

Against Dunwoody, Genesis Satterfield was 3-for-5 with a single, double and a homer. Peach also had three hits and two RBI, Seabolt was 3-for-4 with three RBI, and Bre Stowers had three hits and two RBI for North Hall.
