During June, the state collected $2.85 billion in revenue, which is $354.2 million, or 14.2% more than June of 2021.
The Fiscal Year 2022 tax revenue totaled more than $33 billion, a 23% increase over FY 2021.
The state collected more than $1.48 billion from individuals, which is a 14% increase over 2021 levels.
When it comes to sales tax revenue, the state collected $171 million more than last year, with a total of $1.46 billion.
"The Sales Tax distribution to local governments totaled $729.5 million, which was an increase of roughly $100 million, or 15.9%," the governor's office said in a release. "Sales Tax Refunds fell by a total of $6.6 million, or -46.7%, compared to June 2021."
Most significantly, the state saw a 99.5% decrease in June's motor fuel tax collections. This is due to Gov. Kemp's suspension of the state fuel tax.
