Two people suffered minor injuries Sunday morning when two boats collided on the Chattahoochee River near the Gainesville Marina.
According to Mark McKinnon with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, one boat was traveling southbound and the other northbound. The northbound boat made a left turn in front of the southbound boat, throwing all occupants into the water.
Those ejected were wearing lifejackets and rescued soon after by witnesses. The two people injured were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment.
