The Hall County Government has received a national award for its Fiscal Year 2022 budget for the sixth year in a row.
The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada awarded the county the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. The award recognizes how well a budget serves as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide and communications device.
Hall County Administrator Jock Connell said the county is honored to receive the award.
"This award reflects the commitment the Hall County Board of Commissioners display in meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting,” Connell said. “In addition, this achievement further represents the dedication of staff to responsible stewardship and fiscal transparency.”
