CLEVELAND — Jaret Bales had a huge day at the plate and on the mound in leading Class 3A No. 1 North Hall to a 6-2 Region 7-3A win over White County on the road on Monday.

Bales went 6 1/3 innings, striking out 6, to get the win and also had three hits and three RBI to lead the offense as the Trojans (12-4, 7-0 Region 7-3A) took over sole possession of first place in the region.

However, the Trojans had to rally from an early 2-0 deficit as the Warriors  (9-5, 3-4 Region 7-3A) scored single runs in the first and second off Bales. North Hall tied the game at 2 in the third on a RBI single from Ajay Jones, who later scored on an error.

The Trojans took a 3-2 lead in the fifth on a RBI single from Bales and put the game away with three runs in the seventh as Bales and Jones both had RBIs in the inning.

Mark Daniels pitched well for White County in the loss yielding just three runs on four hits in six innings.
