The Hall County School District announced Monday all students and staff will receive an additional day off in March.
March 21, 2022, will act as a "catch-up day," according to an update from Hall County School District Superintendent Will Schofield.
All students and staff are being asked to use the day to catch up on classes or work, spend time relaxing and make any preparations to finish out the 2021-2022 school year.
"Our board approached Mr. Schofield, and they understand the pace at which both groups have been working," Stan Lewis, Director of Community Relations with Hall County Schools, said. "Just felt like a day to catch up, rest and take a breath, so that we can regroup and get focused again."
Lewis said the additional day off should not impact the school calendar for the remainder of the year.
