By AccessWDUN Staff

MT. AIRY, Ga. — Habersham Central put up 337 yards of offense on the way to a 28-14 win over Apalachee Friday night.

Eathan Martin got the Raiders out in front early on a 1-yard touchdown run, while Slade Dover caught a 23-yard pass from Carson Parker with 30 seconds to go in the first period to double the lead to 14-0.

Apalachee answered with a 2-yard run from Jahmal Wallace on the opening drive of the second quarter to trim the lead to 14-7 at halftime, but Habersham Central responded in the third as Braden Henslee returned a blocked punt 15 yards for a score to take a 21-7 lead.

The Raiders added another score on a Martin 4-yard run early in the fourth. Apalachee got a scoop-and-score late in the fourth to cut into the lead, but the Raiders ran the clock out to get the win.

Habersham Central will wrap up the season next week at home against Shiloh.
