A Gainesville man suffered serious injuries after a single-vehicle wreck Wednesday morning in Hall County.

According to a release from the Georgia State Patrol a trooper responded at about 7:09 a.m. to the accident scene on Ledan Extension.

The trooper determined a 2012 Dodge Avenger driven by Jose Funes Ramirez, 25, was traveling east on the roadway and attempting to negotiate a left-hand curve.

The vehicle reportedly began to rotate and traveled off the north shoulder of the road, striking a tree on its passenger side.

Ramirez was trapped and had to be extricated by Hall County Fire Rescue. He was transported for treatment of serious injuries.

Ramirez is accused of traveling too fast for wet road conditions at the time of the accident.
