Football: North Forsyth rolls over Alcovy, 37-7

COAL MOUNTAIN — It was close for a half, then North Forsyth exploded for 28 second-half points to storm past Alcovy, 37-7, Friday night in Raider Valley. 

Drew Aucoin was 14-of-25 for 183 yards and a touchdown. He added another 18 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. 

Aucoin opened the game with a one-yard run with 5:34 on the first-quarter clock, but a missed extra point, left the lead, 6-0. Alcovy answered in the second yard on a nine-yard pass late in the quarter to go up, 7-6. It was Alcovy's only score.

The Raiders churned out 28 unanswered points -- a Will Peltz tacked on a 26-yard field goal, Caleb Bowen 28-yard pass reception, Aucoin back-to-back rushing touchdowns and a Lake Heffington one-yard run.
