The final week of high school football scrimmages comes to an end this weekend as teams will get one final shot to tune up against an opponent.

The biggest storyline of Friday night will be Riverside's COVID-19 football hiatus will come to an end with a contest against East Hall at McGinnis Field.
Also on the schedule, North Hall and Flowery Branch should give each other a strong test at Falcon Field in Flowery Branch. Defending Region 7-3A champ Cherokee Bluff will travel over to Jackson County, and the area's newest school, East Forsyth, begins its foray into the varsity football ranks against White County at 1/2 Mile Stadium.
On Saturday, Jefferson will travel to Hart County for the annual Battle of the Border. They'll face Hanna and Westside, SC.
Meanwhile, a trio of area teams completed their scrimmage schedule on Thursday. Gainesville rolled into the Winder to play Winder-Barrow. Towns County host Polk County, and West Hall travel to Pickens.
