Cornelia to host retirement reception for city clerk

City of Cornelia officials will host a retirement reception next week for City Clerk Janie Henderson.

Henderson has worked in the position for more than 24 years. She was honored on June 1 at the city council meeting, but the city also plans to hold a reception for her on Wednesday, June 9 at the Community House, an event that is open to the public.

The reception is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m.
