The City of Gainesville’s second Food Truck Friday of the season will take place at Lake Lanier Olympic Park Friday, April 9.

The event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. and will feature food trucks including Tap It Growlers, Downtown Drafts, Harvest Kitchen, All Around the World, South of Philly, Talmo Market Grill, Dot Bowl, Carta’s Azucar Cuban Cuisine, At the Tracks Restaurant, Frozen Frenzee, Juke N Jive Creamery and Fairly Local Cupcakes.

Additional vendors at the event will include Watkins Total Healthcare, Explore Gainesville, Boys & Girls Club of Lanier, Just SNYP It, American Boat Brokers, Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club and Lake Lanier Rowing Club. Singer-songwriter Ivan Duke and Friends will be performing from 6 to 9 p.m.

The 2021 Food Truck Friday series kicked off in March with large crowds as one of the first large gatherings held in the city since the onset of COVID-19. According to a release from the City of Gainesville, April’s Food Truck Friday is expected to offer a wider variety of food trucks and vendors.

“We have great vendors eager to come back and some fun new additions,” Lake Lanier Olympic Park Special Events Manager Eric Larsen said in the release. “It really is a great way to wind down the week with a relaxing evening on our plaza.”

According to the release, attendees and vendors are encouraged to wear masks and face coverings at the event. To encourage social distancing, tables and sanitizing stations will be spaced out throughout the venue.

Advanced reservations for private lakeside seating are available for a $35 fee. A reservation includes a table on the grandstands with seating for six. To make a reservation, click here.
