Flowery Branch man arrested in child exploitation investigation

A Flowery Branch man is facing eight counts of electronic exploitation of a minor, and Hall County Sheriff's officials said he remains in the county jail Monday.

Joel Malcolm Holden, 60, was arrested Friday at his residence in the 5000 block of Pond Mill Court during a search warrant. Investigators seized devices during the search.

Holden allegedly possessed at least four images of child sexual abuse material on his electronic devices and then reportedly sent those images to others via email. Officials believe that incident occurred on November 20, 2020.

The investigation with the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began on Tuesday following a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
