A 36-year-old Gainesville man was charged and arrested by the Hall County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) for the sexual assault of a girl under the age of 16.
Jason Todd Draffin was taken into custody on Tuesday on charges of aggravated sexual battery and child molestation, both felony crimes.
A family member of the girl became aware of the incident and reported it to law enforcement back on Dec. 4 of last year.
Criminal investigators with the HCSO determined that the assault occurred at the victim's residence in Flowery Branch between Sept. 1 and Nov. 30, 2021. Draffin was a guest in the home at the time.
Draffin remains in the Hall County Jail with no bond.
