LAGRANGE — The Buford boys tennis team defeated St. Pius in the championship of Granger Invitational (Divison II), 3-2.
James Troutt earned the Wolves only singles win over James Troutt. But the doubles teams of Leyton Grothe and Nic Keller won in straight sets as did Brent Sherman and Grayson Gilbert to seal the title win for the Wolves.
On the girl's side, the Lady Wolves knocked off St. Pius in the third round of the Granger Invitational, 4-1, to finish third in their division.
Taylor Aycock and Berkley Clark won in straight sets during singles play, while Kenney Deloach and Kylie McCammon, and Taylor Ryczek and Sophie Brewer swept the doubles action.
