District 2 Public Health opens more appointments for COVID vaccine

District 2 Public Health has announced more appointments are now available for the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to a release from District 2, recent shipments of the vaccine have made it possible to open up more appointments.

“We hope that residents who are eligible to be vaccinated will take this opportunity to make an appointment," said Alan Satterfield, Director of Nursing in a prepared statement. 

Eligible residents can make appointments by calling 1-888-426-5073, but visiting www.phdistrict2.org or by calling their local health department.

As of Monday, vaccine eligibility now includes pre-K through 12 educators and staff of public and private schools, adults with intellectual or development disabilities and their caregivers and parents of children with complex medical conditions.
