District 2 Public Health closing Union General Hospital COVID testing site

District 2 Public Health announced Wednesday it will be permanently closing the drive-thru COVID-19 testing site at Union General Hospital effective June 16.

The testing site has been open since Winter 2022 as a partnership between District 2 Public Health, Union General Hospital and LTS.

District 2 Public Health departments will continue to offer free at-home COVID-19 test kits and vaccines to the public. Visit any county health department to pick up a test or receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

District 2 Public Health departments are open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Health departments are closed from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch.
