As Syfan Logistics of Gainesville has done in the past when tragedy has struck, the trucking company has already sent some relief to those impacted by a devastating tornado in Mayfield, Kentucky.

On Sunday, Syfan Logistics sent a tractor-trailer load of bottled water, donated by J&J Foods of Gainesville to the town. The water is being delivered this morning.

A second truckload of non-perishable products will be delivered Tuesday, Dec. 14 and Syfan officials are asking the public to help fill the truck with non-perishable products that can help those who have lost their homes or who had their homes damaged Friday night.

Syfan is coordinating the effort with Pilgrim's, which has plants in Mayfield. The facilities are damaged, but Pilgrim's is using one location for the distribution of donations.
