CUMMING — Zeke Clanton made sure Lanier Christian would not have to put their playoff fates into the hands of a mini-game tiebreaker.
The freshman rushed 17 times for 181 yards and scored four times, had a touchdown reception for another, and also recorded a pick-6 on defense to lead the Lightning to a 60-6 rout of Fideles Christain Friday night on the road.
The win locked down the No.2 seed in the GAPPS playoffs for Lanier Christian (8-2, 3-1 GAPPS 8-man, Region 1-2A). The Lightning will play host to Sherwood Christian in the first round of the playoffs next week.
Junior quarterback Carter Raulerson ran for 143 yards and 2 TDs on 12 carries for LCA.
