A Dawson County woman was injured and taken to the hopsital after a residential fire this afternoon.
According to a report from Dawson County Emergency services, fire units responded around 12:05 p.m to the residence at 11 Ridge Road. When they arrived, the residence was approximately 80 percent involved in the fire.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire and transported the 53-year-old woman, who suffered second and third degree burns on 80 percent of her body, to Grady Emergency.
The woman's condition is unknown. As of this report, investigators are on the scene of the incident and a cause has not been determined.
