Gwinnett police identify victim and suspect in Buford homicide

A homicide investigation is underway in North Gwinnett County after a woman's body was found in a roadway outside a Buford neighborhood Saturday morning. 

Detectives with the Gwinnett County Police Department have identified the victim as 20-year-old Shakeya Smith.

After viewing neighborhood security cameras that captured the incident, detectives were able to charge Moses Dyl with one count of Felony Murder and one count of Aggravated Assault.

Dyl was last seen in Lithonia and is considered armed and dangerous.

Officers were called to Roxwood Park Drive at Woodward Mill Road at 5:09 a.m. When they arrived, they found Smith already dead.
