450 health titles to be added to the Hall County Library System

The Hall County Library System is continuing their partnership with the Northeast Georgia Health System. Now, they are looking into the addition of 450 health titles to circulate to the public.

According to Lisa MacKinney, the Hall County Library Director, the NGHS is willing to do most of the work involved.

"They are willing to be trained to do the cataloguing," MacKinney said. "To do everything on their end so that our staff don't have to take on that extra work."

MacKinney said that because of COVID-19, their budget is tight this year so the exchange would have to be cost-neutral to the library.

The project is likely to happen, according to MacKinney, but it is in the early stages. The collaboration will most likely not proceed until late September.

In the past, the NGHS has sponsored spaces in Hall County libraries and they have conducted numerous collaborative programs.
