GAINESVILLE — Flowery Branch's bats were on fire in a 12-3 rout against Region 8-4A foe Chestatee on Thursday on the road.
Savanna Rutledge, Aubrey Bourrie and MaKaela Davis drove in three RBIs each in the win, helping the Falcons (2-0, 2-0 Region 8-4A) stay atop the region standings. Both Rutledge and Bourrie were 3-for-4 at the plate, while Davis ended the night 2-for-4. The Falcons hammered out 12 hits.
Alyssa Wagner got the win in the circle going 6 innings. She allowed 3 R, 1 earned, while striking out 6.
Flowery Branch will travel to North Hall on Monday. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
Chestatee (1-2, 0-2 Region 8-4A) travels to North Oconee on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m.
