What began as an arrest warrant at a Jackson County home, ended with a major drug bust Tuesday morning. When authorities went to the Nicholson home, they knew in advance that this house was probably being used for drug activity. As suspected, when authorities arrived, drugs were in plain view and a warrant allowed them to search the entire house where they found various illegal substances, including methamphetamine and heroin.
It began when authorities from Forsyth County were looking for two suspects, Justin Blake Thompson and Shawn Christopher Shipp. A warrant led them to this home at 411 Hunter’s Ridge Road. With help from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals, they were able to arrest the two men at the home, as well as discover five others who were also involved.
A total of seven individuals who were at the home at the time were arrested; most of those now have trafficking and/or possession charges.

Justin Blake Thompson (32) of Dawsonville, GA is charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Methamphetamine w/ Intent, DUI, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Failure to Use Seatbelt out of Forsyth County. Thompson will have pending charges out of Jackson County for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Heroin.
Shawn Christopher Shipp (29) of Cumming, GA is charged with Felony Probation Violation out of Forsyth County and has pending charges out of Jackson County for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Heroin.
Nicholas Lee Estell (24) of Elberton, GA is charged with Violation of Probation, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Heroin.
Ashley Renee Dickson (26) of Elberton, GA is charged with Felony Violation of Probation of out Banks County, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Heroin.
Tina Marie Daniels (30) of Cumming, GA is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Heroin.
Kara Lynn Phillips (25) of Nicholson, GA is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Heroin.
Thomas Jefferson Jarrett (37) of Commerce, GA is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Heroin.
