With demonstrations being planned for the downtown Cumming area for the weekend, Forsyth County government officials announced the early closure of the county administration building on Friday, June 5.
The closure is planned for noon.
County officials are asking those with scheduled appointments at the building on Friday afternoon to reschedule. County operations will continue even with the building closed to the public. Residents will be able to use online services as needed.
The Forsyth County Administration Building is located at 110 E. Main Street in Cumming.
While specific details have not been released on demonstrations, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has indicated in a social media post that more than one application has been filed for gatherings this weekend.
