HICKORY, N.C. — University of North Georgia women's basketball player Julianne Sutton was named to the D2CCA All-Southeast Region first team, the association announced Thursday morning.
A first-team All-Peach Belt honoree and the league's, Sutton led the Peach Belt Conference in scoring with 18.3 points per game this season, a number that rose to 19.4 against league opponents. Sutton is joined on the first team by Lander's Jessica Harris, Barton's Shanika Peterkin, Carson-Newman's Kayla Marosites and Anderson's Alexy Mollenhauer. Mollenhauer was named the region player of the year.
